We're Virtual

This program is designed to address the unique issues faced by in-house counsel. Sessions are focused on practical, hands-on ways to function in these challenging day-to-day work roles and responsibilities of in-house counsel lawyers. We will be offering two live virtual sessions on July 9 and July 16. These sessions will cover the most pressing issues and challenges in-house counsel are currently facing. Participants will be able to access these live sessions in addition to several other “on demand” presentations that can be viewed on your own time.

Special Educational Package

We are pleased to offer a special educational package. Everyone who registers for the Annual Meeting, being held June 29-July 1, will be able to "add on" the In-House Counsel Program for FREE. That’s two great programs filled with the excellent cutting-edge educational content that you have come to expect from AHLA.

Important Notice

Wednesday, May 20, 2020: Program Schedule is posted!

Monday, May 4, 2020

AHLA has been actively monitoring reports from the CDC, the WHO, and other organizations related to COVID-19. In response to their guidance and the California Executive Order banning group gatherings, AHLA has made the difficult decision to not hold our upcoming In-House Counsel Program and Annual Meeting in San Diego on June 28-July 1.

Although we are not able to be together in San Diego, we are excited to bring the exceptional content that you need directly to you in your office or home. Join AHLA on June 29-July 1 for a live virtual Annual Meeting and again on July 9 and July 16 for the In-House Counsel Program. The speakers, the materials, the access to colleagues, and the continuing education credits will all be available.

Already Registered for the In-Person?
Everyone who registered for only the Annual Meeting or for both the In-House Counsel Program and the Annual Meeting will automatically be registered for both virtual programs. AHLA is pleased to package the programs together this year so that everyone who registers for the Annual Meeting will automatically be registered for the In-House Counsel Program as well. The registration fees paid for the in-person program(s) will be applied to registration for the virtual programs and you will receive a refund for the difference. The virtual programs will also be available on-demand so you can go back and watch it on your own schedule and still earn continuing education credits.

We know that the work you are doing to advise and support the health care industry is critical during this difficult time. AHLA is working hard to develop the educational resources you need. We value your loyalty to and involvement in AHLA and look forward to “seeing” you on June 29-July 1 at the Virtual Annual Meeting and on July 9 and 16 for the Virtual In-House Counsel Program.

Continuing Education

Our educational content is ranked number one, as the most valued benefit of attending an AHLA program. This program is designed to be an update on developments in the area of health law that offers you the opportunity to obtain your CLE, CPE, and CCB credits from AHLA. The number of credits being offered will be available once the schedule is finalized.

What is a Virtual Program?

Technology allows us to connect in a powerful way. Since we are unable to travel to San Diego, we are hosting a virtual conference to bring the profession together to meaningfully share and learn from each other.

Annual Meeting

Every year, nearly 1,500 health law professionals join AHLA at its Annual Meeting to get the most current information and analysis on a myriad of legal issues facing the health care industry in thoughtful, practical solution-oriented sessions . This year is, of course, no different than any other in that regard - we'll just be virtual!
